Brief personal introduction:

I'm the General Music teacher at KPS and just completed my first year of teaching! :)

Subject and Grade: Music, Grade 5
The topic of the unit: National Anthems
The project idea: Students will be looking at National Anthems. They will be analyzing the values shown in other countries anthems as well as creating their own fictional country. Students will get a global understanding of values and how they are expressed as well as getting key content knowledge for music. Students will be ending the unit with a presentation of their fictional country and the anthem that they created. They will be peer and self evaluating their work in the final part of the unit.
